Silk top also known as hidden knot or silk injection base solves the problem of knots being visible at the base of your lace wig.  Silk top is a piece of silk (usually 4×4 or 5×5 in.) sewn on top of the front of the Swiss or French lace cap.  Hair is injected from underneath the silk material.  The knots are hidden under the silk base and are not visible, giving the illusion of hair growing directly from your scalp and unbelievably real.  The silk base can be ordered in the colors several colors to match your scalp
